Japanese Spring Break English Kids Camp

Sept 19th is Respect for the age day in Japan. It is a 3 day holiday for Japanese. So we are planning a kids English camping trip from Sept 17~19th for kids ages 6 -13. We will be camping at Oshima, near the Sagami river.

We provide a unique opportunity for youth to learn English while safely experiencing supervised day and overnight camping in Japan's great outdoors. With this experience, we hope the youth will develop a better knowledge and respect for nature.

We will take care of making the menu, reserving the campsite, cooking their meals, and giving them some time to relax.

Our activities:
We use nature as a teaching tool, and as a bridge between people and cultures.

Songs and Games: Children usually like singing, role-playing, and acting out dialogues and do not think this is learning. Using songs and games will help your child learn English and have fun doing so. Children pay attention to playing, not to learning and therefore learn better.

Arts and Crafts: We will make arts and crafts relating to nature. Some examples are collecting nature items such as twigs, leaves, etc and making a collage. Making a photo frame from twigs, Pet rocks etc.

Hikes and nature activities: We will take gentle easy hikes in the woods. Hiking course will not be strenuous for your child. Other activities include water play, fresbie golf, and much more   We will have a camp fire and roast marshmallows and sing songs at night.

Making breakfast can be fun. One of the breakfast is making omelettes in a ziplock baggies. The kids love to make this style breakfast.

A favorite way of cooking lunch or dinner is making a meal in aluminum foil. It's not only fun to make and design, but also very delicious.  You have a choice between cheese-n-hamburger or chicken thigh.

One of the meals is just a good ol' fashion BBQ.

Making S'mores is always a favorite with children.

One of the fun things to do is make ice cream on a hot day.

The camp gound is nice and flat surrounded by trees. There are clean bathrooms and a coin shower room which cost 200 yen for 3 min.
