Purpose: Living in Japan can be enjoying if you had the information. This web page is to provide that information on outdoor activities in Japan. I will not provide information on "how to" such as "How to catch large mouth bass" as there are plenty of sites out there for that. But, I may give information on Japanese only area such as "Fishing for Ayu". I will update this web page periodically as I get the information and the time. There will be pages under construction so Please check back frequently. Thanks

Introduction: My name is Ervin and I live in Kanagawa-ken. I am married to a Japanese and I have a 5 year old daughter and a new born son. I have lived in Japan for 18 years. I first came to Japan in 1983. I was stationed in Yokosuka for 6 years while serving in the U.S. Navy. I now work at Camp Zama for the U.S.Army as a civilian.
This web site is for all to enjoy both foreigners and Japanese alike. But, Since I work for the military, I am tailoring it towards the military in the Kanto plains area. I am not an expert on outdoors, but I do love to fish, camp, hiking, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. I struggled when I first came here and don't want you to do the same.
